Treatment with lasers and intense pulsed light (IPL) can effectively eliminate or reduce pigmentation marks, also called skin spots or age spots, pigmentation changes or pigmented spots. Procedure
Before treatment, the practitioner should collect information on allergies the patient may have the use of medications, previous skin problems or infections, sun exposure and tend to form hypertrophic scars or keloids.

Anesthesia

Side Effects

Risk of complications

However, complications after treatment with these non-ablative lasers and IPL / RF are very rare.
Healing and recovery
During and after treatment, the treated areas can easily absorb adjacent tissue pigmentation, and even short periods of exposure to direct sunlight can recreate changes in pigmentation. Because of this, you need to use sunscreen, during and after surgery, that has a high sun protection factor.
